Can California go 100% renewable? Yes we can!

California has long been a leader in clean energy, but now we have the opportunity to set a bold, new standard: 100% renewable and carbon-free power.

This is the strongest single step we can take as a state to double down on our commitment to fighting climate change and improving air quality, while creating sustainable green jobs here in California.

Trump and his allies in Congress are hard at work to roll back our progress on climate change: From approving the Keystone XL Pipeline, to withdrawing from the Paris Agreement, to moving to open our National Monuments and Marine Sanctuaries to oil drilling, they’ve made it clear where their priorities lie in the pro-polluter agenda.

California overwhelmingly rejects the politics of pollution and now is our opportunity to take our boldest stance against climate change yet!

It’s never been more critical that as Californians we continue to do our part and step up to protect our environment. By passing SB 100, our state will establish bold new standards to accelerate our transition to 100% renewable energy: 50% by 2026, 60% by 2030 and 100% by 2045. That means cleaner air, cleaner water, and overall healthier communities from Humboldt to San Diego.

Transitioning to 100% renewable energy isn’t just a bold idea, it’s necessary if we want to put an end to the rapidly growing climate change and climate pollutants in our air.
